Check, in this order: Carry Mode is on for today; CarrySafe was open; location permission is granted; notifications are allowed; and the device had a usable network.

Foreground nearby and state-boundary warnings are best effort while the app is open. They are not a monitoring service, they are not guaranteed, and there is no combination of settings that makes them guaranteed.

Most importantly: silence is not a finding. A warning that did not arrive never means a place has been reviewed, and never means there is nothing there.

On a supported build you can opt in separately. After you grant Always Location, Precise Location, notifications and Background App Refresh, iOS region monitoring can attempt a warning near a limited rotating set of eligible mapped records held in a cache on your phone.

It does not extend state-boundary alerts, does not sample GPS continuously, does not make network lookups in the background, and does not build a location history. iOS decides whether and when to deliver; we cannot promise it will.

Signing out, switching accounts, turning Carry Mode off or snoozing it, opting out, losing a permission or the cache expiring all remove monitoring. The status card in the app lists every reason it is currently inactive.

That is deliberate and it is labelled. Advisories for records whose legal status has not been reviewed are a separate, lower-priority tier: they say the legal status is not reviewed, they say they are not a legal boundary or clearance, and they never call the place restricted or prohibited.

Yes, with less. An active trial or plan still opens its authorized map scope, and you can browse and search there. Nearby warnings, your live position, and boundary checks need location. Location never creates or extends an entitlement.

Both are handled by Apple. Cancel in your Apple subscription settings; request a refund through Apple's refund process. We cannot cancel a subscription or issue a refund on Apple's behalf.

Tap Restore on the paywall first — it re-reads your purchase from the App Store and re-binds it to the signed-in account.

If it still does not appear, email us with the Apple receipt or order ID. Do not send card details; we never receive them and cannot use them.

The trial ends without a charge because it never asks for a card. Choose CarrySafePlus or CarrySafePro to continue using map and subscription features.

Your account, home state, saved setup, and permit records remain. If you already bought a plan and see the trial-complete screen, tap Restore before contacting support.

Because the App Store is the price authority. The app asks StoreKit at runtime and shows the localized price for your storefront. A number typed onto a website drifts the moment a tier, a currency or an offer changes. The longer answer is on the plans page.

Possibly, yes — and this catches people out. Deleting a CarrySafe account removes your CarrySafe data. It does not cancel an Apple subscription, because we do not control Apple's billing.

Cancel separately in your Apple subscription settings.

Duo uses one owner and one partner on separate CarrySafe accounts. Removing or leaving ends the partner's access immediately, with a 30-day replacement cooldown.

No. It is a personal reference copy you typed in yourself. Both faces are watermarked DIGITAL COPY · NOT VALID FOR CARRY, it is not Apple Wallet, it is not issued or accepted by any authority, and it deliberately does not reproduce a state seal. Carry your physical permit.

Because destination policies frequently turn on exactly that, and getting it wrong would change the answer everywhere it is used. How recognition is decided.

Reminders are local notifications. Check that notifications are allowed for CarrySafe and that the permit's expiry date is entered correctly. If notification permission was denied and later granted, open the permit once so the reminder can be rescheduled.

Almost certainly not. It means our review has not reached that area, and the app is refusing to fill the gap with a guess. “Not reviewed” means unknown; it never means permission and it never means no rule exists.

What has been reviewed, measured and dated.

That is the normal state of a mapped record. Presence in our inventory is a statement about our records, not about the law. A status is a separate fact published separately, and most records do not have one yet.

Please tell us, and include the official page you are reading. A correction backed by an authority's own URL goes to the front of the queue, and an answer we cannot re-derive from a live source is withdrawn to Not reviewed while it is checked. How review works.

That is map scope, not legal status. Your plan opens a certain area; outside it, the app does not draw detail. Scope grey and “Not reviewed” grey are labelled differently in the app — one is about your plan, the other is about the law.

In the app: Profile → Account → Delete account. Your CarrySafe data and any private permit files are removed.

Two things survive deliberately: public community or business content can remain with your name removed from it, and a shared sign-in identity used by another product from the same publisher is not removed while that other product still holds data.

And again, because it is the one that costs money: deleting the account does not cancel an Apple subscription.

Account and permit details you enter, purchase state from Apple, and the coordinates needed to answer a lookup you asked for. No advertising identifier, no data broker, no cross-app tracking, no location history, and map telemetry is off.
