What we have reviewed
This page exists because the numbers a legal-reference app is tempted to print — records, boundaries, states covered — are the numbers that say the least about whether the law has been read. So all three are here, in separate rows, and none of them are added together.
Legal review
Review is tracked on seven independent axes, because “this state is done” is not a thing that is true all at once. A state can have a reviewed carry profile and no reviewed vehicle rules, and the app has to say so rather than round up.

Can CarrySafe claim nationwide coverage?
No. The product has a single fail-closed gate that answers this question, and as measured it answers no. While it says no, neither the app, the App Store listing, nor this website may describe our legal review as nationwide or finished — that rule is enforced against our own copy, not left to good intentions.
That is also why you will not find a “50 states reviewed” badge here, a heat map of the country shaded green, or a headline count of “verified places”. Each of those is a claim the gate does not support.
Inventory — a count of our records

It is a large number and it is the least meaningful one on this page. A mapped school is a location we know about. Whether carry is prohibited, restricted, or anything else at that school is a separate fact that a reviewer publishes separately, and most records do not have one.
Geography — where the map can draw

A loaded territory boundary is not evidence that its place inventory or its carry rules are reviewed. Territories are verified independently, and carry-law features that have not been reviewed for a territory stay marked Not reviewed.
How these numbers stay current
- They are re-measured from the product's own release gate and re-stamped by hand. There is no live call from this page to a legal endpoint — a marketing page that fetches a legal answer is a marketing page that can invent one when the endpoint fails.
- The publish check fails if the stamp is older than 30 days. A stale ledger blocks a deploy; it does not quietly age in public.
- If a source is withdrawn or expires between measurements, the app demotes what depended on it immediately. This page is the slow record; the app is the fast one, and the app always fails toward Not reviewed.
Reviewed counts can go down. A source that expires, a policy that changes, or a stricter evidence rule can withdraw answers that were previously published. A number here falling is the system working.
