Delete your account

CarrySafe is made by Hoydia LLC. You can delete your CarrySafe account and its data from inside the app, or by email if you can no longer sign in. Both routes delete the same things.

Delete it yourself, in the app

• Open CarrySafe and sign in.
• Go to Profile → Account.
• Tap Delete account.
• Confirm. The deletion runs immediately — there is no waiting period and no reactivation window.

If you cannot sign in

Email support@hyda.studio from the address on the account, with the subject Delete my CarrySafe account. We aim to answer within two business days. We verify the request comes from the account holder before deleting anything, so please write from the address you signed up with.

What is deleted

• Your permit details and any private permit files. Files are removed from storage before the database record, and the deletion refuses to complete while any private file remains.
• Your alerts, Carry Mode history and reminders.
• Your memberships, reports, follows and blocks.
• Your subscription links — the record connecting a store purchase to your CarrySafe account.
• Your CarrySafe profile, home state and account session.

What is kept, and why

• Public business or legal content you contributed may remain, with your attribution removed. Other people rely on the reviewed record, and withdrawing it would degrade the map for them.
• Your sign-in identity, if it is shared with another product from the same publisher. It is removed only when no other product still holds data for it; otherwise only your CarrySafe account, data and session are deleted.
• Allowlisted crash and diagnostic codes are kept for 30 days and shown to staff only as counts. They contain an error code, app version and time plus a random support reference — no location, no permit, no route and no device identifier, so they cannot be traced back to you.
• Records we are required to keep, such as a purchase record a store or tax authority requires. These are retained only as long as that obligation lasts.

Deleting your account does not cancel billing

Subscriptions are billed by the app store, not by us, and we cannot cancel one on your behalf. Cancel it with Apple or Google Play separately, using the same account you bought it with. Deleting your CarrySafe account while a subscription is still active does not stop it renewing.

Deleting some data without deleting your account

You can remove individual items at any time without closing your account — delete a permit from the wallet, turn off alerts, or withdraw a report. There is no separate request needed for those.
